Sounds like a nice way to waste both of our time.

I know what you are. I know what you do. [ More like he's been reading through Javert's messages and drawing any number of conclusions. ] You choose easy targets and play mind games, AM. You would have whipped a man to death if the outcome wouldn't *bore* you. There's being a monster, and then there's being something else. Something other.
So I'll ask you again.
Who are you?
<0100000101001101>
If I supposedly choose "easy" targets, then why would I be "bored" with whipping a man to death? That seems rather contradictory, wouldn't you think? And what man are we speaking of that I did not whip to death?
[Easy targets will take the edge off his hunger, more or less, but he does like a challenge. It's just that he only likes a challenge he can win.]

Like we're the same that way.
[ He's going to have tread carefully, here. He's not in the habit of comparing himself to those he considers beneath him, even if there's intention behind it. ]
There's more than one? Is whipping the child-murderering monsters in line with the Fog's agenda?
<0100000101001101>
As for the whipping, Cellist, nothing I had done matched the description you gave. Javert, my employer, asked me to whip him. Should that sound absurd, ask him yourself. Besides, it fits very well with the punishments that I give the prisoners, and Javert himself is, as you put it, a child-murdering monster. And do you know who permits me to give those punishments? Javert. If you take issue with me, then go yell at him instead.

I'm not your puritan mother.

Apology accepted.
We'll be in touch.
