Fire magic - As a demon, AM can cast fire spells. He summons a spell by chanting Latin words under his breath. Whether or not he actually needs to do this is yet to be determined.

Immunity to fire damage - Related to the above, AM cannot be damaged by fire.

Adrenaline spell - AM can cast this spell to give himself the illusion of a temporary power boost. It will not boost his power specifically, but because his mind thinks he is stronger, it will work to some extent by raising his adrenaline levels.

Marionette spell - AM can take a human he has consumed the soul from and control it like a marionette. It looks very awkward, though, and most normal people would think the person is behaving very oddly.

Emotion spell 1 - AM can cast a spell on someone to make their emotions go toward darker thoughts. He doesn't use this one often.

Hand of glory - He can summon a torch that is basically a severed hand that never burns out.

Teleportation - AM can teleport short distances by disappearing and reappearing in a ring of fire.

Binding spell - AM can bind a human to one spot for an hour.

Possession - AM can possess a being once a day. It works on humans but doesn't always work on monsters. (Basically, player permission.) If it works on monsters, it's generally a lot more unstable.

Great speed - As a boon from the Fog God, AM can fly exceptionally fast. He is not as fast as vampires, but he can fly at about the speed of an arachne's walking.

Prehensile wings - The claws at the top of his wings can be used like a second pair of hands.

Greater force - AM exerts twice as much mass with his actions (yet the same acceleration), making the force he exerts 2x greater.

Binding spell 2- A gift from the Fog God, AM can completely immobilize (except for eyes and diaphragm) anyone for up to an hour.

Fear-inducement - Basically, AM can cast a spell to be able to view a major fear that a character has. This would depend OOCly upon how much the other player would be willing to let him see, but for the most part it would not be overt. For example, if someone fears a specific person, then AM might see that they fear a person and see a silhouette, but he doesn’t know who. If he knows the other person really well, he could see more specific things. (Again, depending entirely on what the other player would allow, if anything.) It also depends on the nature of the fear. If it's a very specific fear, he won't be able to see it as well. If it's more general (i.e. a general fear of the dark) then he'll be more likely to see what it is.

Regardless, whether he himself can see what the fear is or not, he can summon up the image in that person's mind and cause fear. Are heights your worst fear? Now you can’t get the image of yourself stuck on a very high building out of your head!

Command of the fog - AM is a Fog priest, so he can turn into his fog form at will.

Petrification spell - This spell will petrify a human or monster, turning them completely to stone but leaving them fully aware, trapped in senseless darkness. Obviously this depends on player permission.

AM was an arachne from June 2015 through the end of April 2017. Upon the mods granting resorts at that time, AM was changed to a demon. This chronicles his time as an arachne.

Abilities:
- Web-spinning. The webs will trap anyone unless AM (or another arachne) cuts them out of it. However, the webs are very flammable.
- Venom. In general, he can poison anyone with his venom.
- Truth venom - He can use this (or the other two specialized venoms) once a day, and it lasts for an hour. The victim is compelled to tell the truth.
- Obedience venom - He can use this (or the other two specialized venoms) once a day, and it lasts for an hour. The victim is compelled to obey every command.
- Immobilization venom - He can use this (or the other two specialized venoms) once a day, and it lasts for an hour. The victim will be immobilized, save for the eyes and diaphragm. This was gifted to him by the Fog God for being a second tier follower
- Speed - AM is incredibly fast as an arachne. In Ryslig, the arachne are second only to vampires in speed.
- Strength and Mass - As a Fog follower, AM has twice the amount of mass behind his actions as anyone else, but with the same rate of acceleration, meaning that he exerts a greater force. He is strong. I mean look at those muscles. Gifted to him by the Fog God for being a first tier follower.

AM's normal form is the form he takes on most of the time.

He looks the most human in this form. Above the waist he is a regular-looking middle-aged man, except that he has fangs in place of maxillary and mandibular canine teeth. He has a very long tongue, courtesy of the Fog God. He also has sharp claws for fingernails, and distinctive runes on his back from the All Hallow's Eve event of 2015. The runes symbolize the Christian symbol for eternity with electric wires forming a tree out of it.

His spider body is based upon Atrax robustus (Sydney funnel-web spider). The legs are a bit longer and the body is higher off the ground.

AM takes on the fog form when the fog settles in.

While he still looks somewhat human here, he is taller and more spiderlike. All of his skin takes on the bristly, grey appearance of a spider. His hair takes on a darker color to go with the grey spider appearance. He also has eight red eyes and mandibles. In August 2016, AM was infected with a parasite and killed. This resulted in him permanently gaining bladed legs in his fog form.

In the fog form, he has increased strength and ferocity, as well as lowered inhibitions.

Grandfathered in from the old Fog God boon system, AM can switch between the "myrmidon" and humanoid "myrmidon" forms for up to eight hours a day.

In the myrmidon form, he is about 30 feet long. If perched on his tail as pictured, he is about 14 feet high. Very huge. He has eight arms, all of which have functioning hands with three fingers (or a thumb and two fingers). In lieu of the fourth finger and little finger, he has a giant blade jutting out of the hand.

While he can crawl on the hands, he can also move about with the tail somewhat like a snake. In the humanoid myrmidon form, the four arms translate to his legs for the most part. As far as motor functioning, the top two arms translate to his human arms, the second row of arms translate to his pedipalps, the third and fourth row translate to his front two rows of legs, and the last two rows of legs translate to controlling his tail. (In humanoid myrmidon form, the tail doesn't do much.)

The humanoid myrmidon form approximates the myrmidon form in most ways, but it is smaller and easier to move around. It does not have the massive strength and ferocity that the myrmidon form has, and is more for convenience than anything.

After using the myrmidon/humanoid myrmidon forms, AM is famished and exhausted.

AU History: As a gifted individual, Alan Masterson has used his expertise in tech to build a prototype of the laptops that monsters are commonly seen with. While it doesn't have internet, he still makes a good deal of money with them on the market through his company, Allied Mastercomputers.

Publicly, as a rich businessman, he is somewhat well-known and has to keep up appearances, but even then he is regarded as somewhat shady. His first marriage to a woman named Ellen dissolved because of his verbal and physical abuse and constant cheating, which left him with an estranged son. Kaz occasionally returns for money, so Alan puts him to use on his secret projects. Said secret projects involve technology, but are more malicious in nature, researching weaponry and malevolent AI.

He had at least another marriage in there somewhere, which dissolved for similar reasons, so right now he is in between spouses, simply resorting to his ~~womanizing (and maninizing?)~~ philandering ways to get what he wants. His money certainly doesn't hurt either.

Being the atomic era, Alan also has a vested interest in WMDs and has done private research on them as well. His very own Manhattan Project, if you will, is a private subsection of his company. And let's just say that any whistleblowers have been quickly exterminated.

Alan is incredibly sadistic, retaining his castle (which he bought with the finances from his company) and its dungeon, using that to torture hapless people. But once in a while he has been able to capture a monster to hurt them. He is viciously anti-monster due to their constant presence as a threat, and how they are more powerful than he. As a result, he works with anti-monster groups in hopes to exterminate them for good... Or perhaps to gain their power.

In addition, Alan enjoys the occasional cigarette and booze, unlike his OU counterpart.
